  • Processes:
    • Cutting: Techniques like shearing, sawing, and plasma cutting are used to shape raw materials into the desired form.
    • Bending: Machines like press brakes are used to bend materials into specific shapes.
    • Assembling: This includes welding, as well as processes like riveting, bolting, and adhesive bonding.
    • Machining: Additional machining operations may be performed, such as drilling, milling, or turning to refine the fabricated components.
  • Applications: Fabrication is used to create a wide variety of products, from simple brackets and enclosures to complex structures like bridges, buildings, and industrial machinery.

3. Materials:

  • Welding and fabrication can be performed on a variety of materials including metals (such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel), plastics, composites, and even some ceramics.
